What is Creative Arts?

Creative art interventions include music, books, writing, coloring, drawing, play and more. These arts are therapeutic alone and when added into the counseling sessions they minimize the uncomfortably that might be present in traditional talk therapy. Creative art interventions provide the client to gain a unique perspective on the change they seek. As a counselor, I utilize these interventions to enhance the self-expression, mindfulness, and positive insights they provide to my clients. I have completed trainings in creative arts as well as additional supervision through Northwest Nazarene Play Therapy Center.
